Troy Rolling, Vice-Chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, stressed the importance of this midterm election:

Too much is at stake to stay home this midterm. This is a historic moment in our country. You and I will decide with our votes whether our elected officials defend our Constitutional liberties, or our freedoms are sacrificed to the whims of liberal elites. We have endorsed strong conservative candidates who are ready to serve America, and they need the support of their constituents to get to Washington.

Leading up to this crucial moment, the Douglass Leadership Institute and Frederick Douglass Foundation organized three hundred grassroots workers and knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors to deliver conservative, faith-based voter guides and encourage Americans to vote.

Reverend Dean Nelson, Chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation PAC, said he believes Frederick Douglass would be proud of Foundation’s work:

Frederick Douglass set the example for American greatness by refusing to allow his liberties and those of his fellow Americans to be imperiled by unjust laws and leaders. Our work this midterm season has honored Douglass’ legacy by educating constituents on the state of the nation and the choices that lie before them at the polls. We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with so many Americans and share this message of liberty and virtue.

Founded on the ideals of 'righteousness, justice, liberty and virtue, Frederick Douglass Foundation supports strengthening the family, criminal justice reform and economic opportunity.
